APS is doing online registration this year! If you haven't completed your children's registrations, please access your ParentVUE account, click on "Online Registration" and go through the forms. If you need more information or you need to sign up for ParentVUE, please go to http://www.aps.edu/students-parents/parentvue-studentvue/online-registration and follow the instructions there. You'll need your student's APS ID number (which is on their report card if they don't remember).


If you have transferred your student, please be sure the system has the correct new school for your child; if the school information isn't correct by 5/25, please email asher@aps.edu with your name, your child's name, date of birth, and grade, and the school you're transferring from.


Within a week of  completing your registration, you'll get a message that the registration has been accepted or an email asking for more information.


We will have schedules ready for our pre-registered students in August, and we'll do student IDs and have parents bring in any necessary documents at that time. Please be sure your contact numbers and email addresses are correct in ParentVUE and watch for messages from the school in late July.

Some parents have reported issues finding the schedule on the APS site, so I've posted it here as well. Below you'll find just the Jackson dates. Below that, there is a downloadable file with ALL APS Middle School track dates, locations and which schools we will compete against. Track meets start at 4:30, usually ending between 7:30 and 8.


Tuesday March 13th - Community Stadium (98th & I-40)


Tuesday March 20th - Wilson Stadium (near Manzano HS)


Monday April 2nd - Milne Stadium (University & Hazeldine, behind CNM)


Tuesday April 10th - Community Stadium


Tuesday April 17th - Milne Stadium


Monday April 23rd (Championship Meet, 7/8th athletes ONLY) - Community Stadium

Online registration for the 2018-19 school year is now open! If you can register your student online, you'll be able to save time and paper in the fall. You'll need a ParentVUE account and, if you'd like to send documents electronically, a way to upload those (scan them in or even take a picture with your phone). Please check it out at the link below - there's a step-by-step video to show you how this new system works! When you log in to ParentVUE, click on "Messages" to get to the online registration link.


If your student is transferring to Jackson, please be sure we're the school on the registration. We may need to wait until the beginning of April to get our transfer students registered online, but it will be available.

Just wanted to let everyone know there are a few updates to athletics eligibility for the next school year, 2018-2019. These apply to middle and high school Student Athletes. You can find these changes posted on the front page of the NMAA site at https://www.nmact.org/

Per a recent vote of NMAA member schools, three changes have been made to scholastic eligibility guidelines for the 2018-2019 school year.  These are as follows:


1). Use of Semester Grades Only – Scholastic Eligibility will be determined by semester grades (6/9 week marking period grades will no longer be used).


2). NO F’s – A student must have a 2.0 GPA and NO F’s in order to be eligible to participate in activities/athletics. This is a change from the past where a student was allowed one F.


3). Summer Courses – Beginning in the summer of 2018, students may make-up multiple courses to attempt to gain eligibility.

JAGS Meetings will be held monthly on the third Wednesday at the Jackson Library starting at 5:30 p.m.  (Schedule will be adjusted when school is not in session.)


Scheduled meetings for this semester will be September 20, October 18, November 15, and December 13.
